Pop Up Book Sales

Book Lovers Rejoice! The Book Sales Committee is thrilled to be bringing the community FOUR book sales in the coming months. Please take note of the upcoming sales:

April 20 (10-2pm) at the Preservation Park Cities Vintage Car Show @ Burleson Park;
May 10 (10-4:30) at the Peek Service Center, 4420 Worcola [special member shopping hours will be held on the afternoon of May 9 from 2-4:30pm - join here or at the door]
June 15 (10:30-4) at the University Park Public Library, 8383 Preston Center Plaza
July 31 (10:30-4) at the University Park Public Library, 8383 Preston Center Plaza.

If you can’t make one of our book sales, remember that you can shop any day that the library is open in the Second Chapter Book Corner. We rotate the selection regularly. Cash or Venmo is accepted.

Friends of the UP Library are still accepting used books at the Peek Service Center, 4420 Worcola Street,

8:30 a.m. until 4:30p.m. Monday through Friday. Please have the books in boxes and place on tables provided in the foyer of the building.

Second Chapter patrons: thank you for your incredible support of Second Chapter Pop Up Bookstore. We are blown away, yet again, by the enthusiasm our pop-up bookstore has received, and your support has substantially helped fundraising for the University Park Public Library. To all of our sponsors, donors, supporting organizations, everyone who shopped, donated books, and put their time, effort, and love into this bookstore, THANK YOU! We could not have done it without each and every one of you.

In particular, thank you Jerry Washam and Buddy Porter Real Property, LLC for making our fourth pop up possible.

While we will be closing our doors for the fourth time, we are committed to continuing to explore ways to bring back a form of Second Chapter in the future. We continue to sell books in our Second Chapter Book Nook at the Library (next to the elevator) and our pop up book sales. Your gently used book donations are appreciated year round and can be dropped off in the lobby at the Peek Service Center (4420 Worcola) on weekdays during business hours.
